Sheffield City Council (SCC) have announced support for the switch to EVs and has corroborated this by increasing the amount of electric car charging points in Sheffield. The council has also installed well over a dozen rapid EV chargers throughout the city, making it easier for you to own an EV without having to have a home charge point. These chargers can be located in council car parks, on-street parking across Sheffield, and numerous sites within the city's centre.
SCC has expressed hope of expanding its charger network in the future too. Indeed, in March 2022, funding for 25 electric car charging ports was approved.
